Health Warriors, founded by Sj Pickholtz and Alisa Bloom, is a thriving community created from their deep understanding of the emotional, physical, and social challenges faced by women with a BMI of 30 or above. Sj and Alisa have walked their own paths through these challenges and knew there needed to be a place where women could come together without judgment, shame, or unrealistic expectations—a place built on compassion, courage, and connection.
But Health Warriors isn’t just powered by its founders—it’s powered by you. This is a community where members support each other every step of the way. Whether you’re celebrating a victory, facing a setback, or just need to vent, there’s always someone listening, encouraging, and walking alongside you.
Through our forums, private groups, and Facebook-style activity feed, members share their experiences, insights, resources, and encouragement. Real conversations happen here—about food, movement, mental health, and the countless day-to-day realities of living in a larger body. This is where friendships form, wisdom flows, and healing begins.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help obese women (BMI 30 or above) move toward optimal health and wellness in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment. We offer compassionate guidance, effective tools, and a vibrant community where members lift each other up. Together, we’re building a future where no woman has to walk the path to better health alone.

Sj (Sarajoy) Pickholtz
Founder of Health Warriors Tribe
I’ve been fat for as long as I can remember. Everything feels like an effort—walking, standing, even facing a flight of stairs. But I’ve finally reached the point where I’m ready to focus on my health, not just for weight loss, but to live the full, joyful life I deserve.
Professionally, I’m a digital project manager and website strategist. I design, build, and manage websites and content for clients across industries. But Health Warriors is personal.
Starting this community and sharing my most vulnerable truths with the world is one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. But I needed a space where I could find real support—a place that understands the physical, emotional, and mental weight of living in a larger body. So I created that space, not just for myself, but for other women walking this same path.
I live with my two mischievous cats, Linus and Lucy, and I’m learning—day by day—that healing happens best when we do it together.

Alisa Bloom, MPH, RDN, NBC-HWC
Co-founder of Health Warriors Tribe
I’ve been a Dietitian and health coach for over 25 years, and my passion for this field began at a young age. I was driven by a deep desire to uncover effective, compassionate strategies for managing chronic conditions and quieting the constant mental chatter around food.
I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Nutrition, am a licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), and am a Nationally Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC)—credentials I maintain with care and pride. These designations reflect not just my education and experience, but my ongoing commitment to staying at the forefront of nutritional science and coaching excellence.
My approach is rooted in the belief that understanding your DNA can reveal new paths toward real, sustainable health. I use personalized nutrition, lifestyle, and mindset strategies to help women navigate the unique challenges of obesity with empathy and evidence-based guidance.
Together, we’ll create a path forward—step by step—toward a life that’s healthier, freer, and more aligned with who you truly are.
