How to Whitelist an Email Address

Whitelisting an email address adds it to your approved senders list, so your email client knows you trust the sender and won’t send their emails to the junk folder. Here’s how to whitelist an email in Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo:

Gmail

Log in to Gmail, click the gear icon, and select Settings. Then, select Filters and blocked addresses, and click Create a new filter. In the From field, enter the email address you want to whitelist. Check the Never send to spam box, and click Create Filter.

Outlook

Select the gear icon, and choose View all Outlook settings. Then, choose Mail and Junk mail, and click Add under Safe Senders and Domains. Enter the email address or domain you want to whitelist, and click Save.

Windows Outlook 365

Open the app, navigate to Tools, and select Rules. Click New Rule, name it “Whitelist”, and select From. Enter the email address, and select Move to from the dropdown menu. Then, select Inbox from the next dropdown menu, and click Save.

If you receive emails from multiple people at the same organization, you can whitelist all emails from that domain by typing an “@” symbol followed by the domain name. For example, “@healthwarrior.me”.
